Pierpoint Events, LLC (“Pierpoint”, “we” or “us”) runs pierpointevents.com and provides AVL production, DJ entertainment, photobooths and event rentals from Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. Questions go to info@pierpointevents.com or 843-222-6402.
What we collect and why
Inquiries and bookings. When you use the Connect form, check a date, call, email or text us, we keep what you give us: your name, email address, phone number, the kind of event, the date, the venue, a guest count, your budget range and anything you tell us about the night. We use it to reply, prepare a proposal, write your contract and run your event.
Wedding inquiries and planning through Cue. Wedding date checks and inquiries on this site, and the planning you do with your DJ after booking (timelines, must-plays and do-not-plays, announcements, vendor contacts), run on Cue, a planning platform made by Huttenlocher Technologies LLC (joincue.io). What you enter there is stored by Cue on our behalf and shared with your DJ and, if you invite them, your planner. Your Cue account is also covered by Cue’s own privacy policy and terms, which you can read at joincue.io. We do not use your Cue data for anything other than your event.
Rental orders. When you rent equipment through this site we collect your name, billing and delivery address, phone number, email address and what you ordered. Card payments are handled by our payment processor; we never see or store your full card number. Invoices paid by Cash App, Venmo, Zelle or Bitcoin are handled by those services under their own terms.
Accounts. If you create an account for rental orders, we store your login details and order history so you can see past orders and check out faster.
Photobooth photos. Our photobooths take pictures of your guests. Prints are handed out on site. If a guest asks the booth to text or email them a photo, we use that number or address only to deliver it; we do not add it to any list. Event galleries are posted on this site within 72 hours of the event so guests can find and download their photos. Galleries are public unless the client asks us before the event to keep theirs unlisted or private. Any guest or client may ask us to remove a photo at any time.
Event stories. We publish stories about events we have worked, with photos from the event’s photographer or our own crew and credits for the other vendors. We ask the client before we publish, and we take a story or photo down on request.
Job applications. If you apply to work with us, we keep your application, résumé and contact details for up to a year to consider you for a role.
Website use. Our server keeps standard logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) for security. We may use basic, aggregate analytics to see which pages are read. We do not run advertising trackers.
Cookies
This site uses a small number of cookies that make it work: one that remembers what is in your rental cart, session cookies when you log in, and a cookie that remembers that you dismissed a notice. None of them are used for advertising. You can block cookies in your browser, but the cart and account features will not work without them.
Who we share it with
We share your information only with the people and services needed to do the work: our crew and the DJ assigned to your event; Cue, for wedding inquiries and planning; our payment processor for card payments; the companies that host this website and deliver our email; and other vendors on your event when you ask us to coordinate with them. We never sell your information and we never share it for anyone else’s marketing.
We will disclose information if the law requires it, to enforce an agreement, or to protect the safety of our crew, our clients or their guests.
How long we keep it
Inquiry details are kept for two years so we can follow up on a future date. Contracts, invoices and order records are kept for seven years for tax and accounting. Photobooth galleries stay online for at least one year and may be removed after that; you can ask for your gallery to come down sooner. Account details stay until you ask us to delete the account.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. You can ask for a photo of you to be removed from a gallery or a story. You can ask us not to contact you for marketing at any time. Email info@pierpointevents.com and we will answer within ten business days. We may need to keep some records for legal, tax or safety reasons, and we will tell you if so.
Children
This website and our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you think a child has sent us information, tell us and we will delete it.
Security
This site is served over HTTPS. Access to inquiries, orders and planning information is limited to the people working on your event. No method of storage is perfect, so if we ever learn of a breach affecting your information we will tell you promptly.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. Material changes will also be noted on this page for thirty days.
